Performer Callum Younger is going viral for the distinctive style of his funny videos parodying day-to-day life commentary posts on social media – and brands are already starting to notice him.

Callum is posting on TikTok as @dishevelled.happin with the bio "Born to stand out 🌟 forced to fit in". The username comes from the way he's described himself in some of his videos as being "dishevelled".

This "At the gym now, feeling athletic, confident, sexy and sporty" TikTok with more than three million views is typical of his style of delivery.

His videos are making lots of people laugh and say things like: "I don't know what this type of content is, but I'm here for it."

His fans are already saying he's their "new favourite account" and hoping he'll continue to post more and more of these videos.

Comments say his style of delivery reminds them of things like posts on LinkedIn and Facebook, narrators on TV shows and listening tests for people learning English as a second language:

  • "Exercise number 3. Listen and repeat"

  • "This is how LinkedIn feels"

  • "My Facebook status in 2009"

  • "This is exactly how I read facebook posts"

  • "This is so BBM coded I love it"

  • "This feels like reading your coworkers away message on Slack"

  • This voice is so British tv coded"

  • "Same cadence as the voiceovers on The Great British Bake Off 😌"

  • "This is such a TLC reality show narration I love it 🥰"

Brands are starting to engage with his content too.

This TikTok about him "Feeling a bit sad as it's Monday" got comments from brands like Pot Noodle, saying "Thinking of you", and Subway UK, saying "That's the spirit".

Specsavers commented "PM me babe" on his video letting people know he wouldn't be responding to anyone while he was having dinner.

And Premier Inn were quick to comment on his pyjamas video saying they'll only be calling pyjamas "p'jays" from now on. He responded to them with a video "Clocking in to Premier Inn now. Cannot wait to get in to my hotel room and chillax in my pjays."

Callum's in his third year at Urdang theatre and dance academy in London. See more of his videos and reaction in this read-only Shooglebox.
