TikTokers are celebrating after content creator Romeo Bingham’s catchy idea for a Dr Pepper theme song was picked up by the brand and turned into a primetime TV advert.

With our Buzz service we help brands spot things like this and track how they develop.
We flagged it to Buzz subscribers over Christmas when Romeo posted a TikTok singing "Dr Pepper baby, it's good and nice", with a "doo doo doo" on the end. She said: "Had to post this before someone got sent this in a dream and steal it from me".
Her TikTok quickly took off and has now had 62m views, 7.4m likes, more than half a million saves, and loads of comments like "This made me wanna get a Dr Pepper", "That would have been a million dollar jingle in the 70s" and "Thank you for my new stimming song".
She tagged Dr Pepper in the post, saying "please get back to me with a proposition, we can make thousands together".
Dr Pepper picked up on the TikTok, commenting: "hold on.... you might be onto something".
We tracked the reaction to her TikTok as it caught the attention of other brands who’d commented on the post:
Subway: Do me! Do me!
Popeyes: GET HER ON THE PHONE NOW!!
Mentos: can we get a fresh take? 💙
Indeed: You’re hired
Hyundai USA: I volunteer as tribute!
Vita Coco: this theme song is good and nice 🙂↕️👏
Romeo's vocal was turned into a full-blown jingle by a number of different musical content creators who made versions of it.
Among them is @BigVibesBurrell, whose version has had more than 10m views and been used more than 1,500 times by people creating their own posts:
Lots of people have been saying they’d love to see Dr Pepper use the jingle in an advert and suggesting it would be great to see for the Super Bowl.
As people encouraged Dr Pepper to adopt the jingle in their advertising, TikTok content creators like Jakeyboy (7m followers), who films hype videos for brands, made their own commercials:
Romeo meanwhile started posting more ideas for adverts for the brands who commented on her viral post, inspired by a comment: "You should keep doing jingles for the brands that commented on your original post, it'll cause a lot of traction and bring more views".
This one for Hyundai – "The sun is out and I'm feeling ok. Have a good day with Hyundai" – has 18m views.
And then she posted this TikTok for Vita Coco as a paid partnership: "Vita Coco, you'll go loco 'cause it's so dang delicioso."
It got more than 17m views, with comments like "You convinced me... never had em before. This peach mango is 🔥" and TikTok for Business commenting "This is truly beautiful".
Vita Coco used it in a couple of their own posts, including this one from the perspective of someone inspired to buy the drink after hearing the sound:
And finally ... less than a month after Romeo posted her improvised jingle on TikTok ... Dr Pepper delighted TikTokers by turning it into a full ad shown on primetime US TV during the College Football Playoff National Championship game watched by more than 30 million people, according to broadcaster ESPN.
People who’ve been following her rise to fame on TikTok – she’s gained 500,000 new followers since her post went viral – are posting to say how happy they are for her, like this one: “I literally screamed in excitement”:
Romeo posted this tongue-in-cheek award ceremony acceptance speech saying thank you to everyone for their support. The post got comments from dozens of brands, including Dr Pepper – “this speech gets a 23 hour standing ovation from us 👏” – and TikTok, who posted: “all of TikTok knew that jingle was special the second you posted it 😭🥹”
